Ryden is committed to reducing our environmental emissions and contributing positively to the communities where we operate. This is an integral part of our business. We actively encourage suppliers, clients and other stakeholders to do the same.
We measure and report our environmental emissions and have set reduction targets. We also measure and report our social and community contributions.
Ryden has an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) reporting process. We operate transparently sharing information with internal and external stakeholders and investigating ways to work with clients and suppliers to reduce environmental impacts. Our people are encouraged to get involved in initiatives that support their local communities and benefit their own wellbeing.
We’ve reduced our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by moving our offices to energy efficient buildings; Onyx in Glasgow, The Capitol in Aberdeen, Park Row in Leeds and Bloc in Manchester are all buildings with excellent environmental credentials.
Business travel is one of our largest sources of Scope 3 emissions. Our Travel Policy encourages our people to select active travel and public transport options when possible and to take the train instead of flying.
Our people are given paid time off to take part in volunteering activities which has included clearing woodland of non-native species, tidying public areas and planting sensory gardens.
